The Skool' of L.I.F.E. is an educational, arts program offered by the REIGNbow ReNEWed LIFE Center. The mission is to improve the social and communication skills for our youth ages 12 to 28 with high-functioning Asperger's Syndrome or Autism. We also support parents of Autistic or Aspie* children ages 6 to 11.
The effect of COVID-19 has proven that social interaction is crucial for the wellness of most people. During this time, Autistics or Aspies suffer because socializing is not their natural inclination. Therefore, we offer enriching classes and activities with the ultimate goal of improvement. Research and personal experience reveals participation in The Arts is therapeutic and fun. Thus, it is the basis for our ecumenical teaching approach of . . .
Lastly, we welcome young adults who also want to sharpen their communication and social skills while having artistic fun. The Skool' of LIFE lives in a judgment-free zone.
*Autistics refers to individuals with autism; and Aspies refers to individuals with Aspergers.
The curriculum for the Skool' of L.I.F.E. contains innovative classes and activities designed for group engagement. They support intellectual, natural, and soulful growth. Upon finishing each project, students have new works of art and prayerfully friendships.
